Creative Discussion Forum is an innovative effort

ALIGARH : The Club for Short Evening Courses, General Education Centre, Aligarh Muslim University organized a discussion on Ignorance is a bliss as the first of the Creative Discussion Forum at VIP lounge of Kennedy Auditorium. The Coordinator of GEC, Dr. F. S. Sheerani, while welcoming the guests, said the Creative Discussion Forum is an innovative effort and proposes to organize discussions on themes that are a bit out of the box, yet relevant to the present day context. The very first theme gives an indication of the topic that will follow next. He said it is going to be fortnightly activity of the Club for Short Evening Courses, GEC. The forum sought to bring together the young but not so young and old but not so old members of AMU fraternity.

Prof. Abdul Matin, Retired Professor, A. K. Tibbiya College, AMU proposed the topic. During the dynamic discussion, Prof. Abul Kalam Qasmi, Prof. Muqeemuddin, Prof. S. Z. Chugtai, Prof. Fasih Siddiqui and Prof. Tariq Chhatari presented a host of ideas while referring to the topic. Some of the speakers were of the opinion that the topic was self-defeating and ironical while others contended that the topic was merely a statement and nothing lied paradoxical in it. In fact, it called for a rational approach along with super rationality.

The programme was conducted by the President of the Club, Dr. Parvaiz Talib. Mohd. Sarfaraz, Rezaul Karim and others played an active role in organizing the programme
