Healthcare Industry Needs patient’s safety
Orientation Ceremony of “Post Graduate Certificate in Hospital Management-PGCHM”
Kanpur: Healthcare has bloomed into a well established industry, like any other industry, it has entered the phase where apart from the dexterity of Doctors, decision-making skills of a manager are also vital. With the growing times, Healthcare Industry is now subjected to various regulatory compliance requirements, from national as well as state regulations for patient’s safety. This requires a professional approach towards healthcare. Proper management of hospitals and nursing homes is the need of the hour. Keeping this purpose in mind, Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management and Research collaborated with Dr. R. K. Devi Memorial Hospital to launch their certificate program “Post Graduate Certificate in Hospital Management-PGCHM” course. The Orientation programme for the course was conducted on 25th February, 2012 at GHSIMR Auditorium. The program laid stress on quality standards regulation requirement, which governs the functionality of the hospital.
The programme aims at bridging the gap of the industry requirement and offers professional ways of managing hospital. The chief guest of the program, Prof. Ashok Kumar, Vice Chancellor C.S.J.M University, Kanpur, appraised the initiative of the two institutes for bringing up this programme to the people involved in city’s healthcare. The program is for Young doctors, mid level hospital staff, senior nursing professionals and fresh graduates interested in Administrative/Management field. The host institute Director Prof. Prithvi Yadav stressed on the vision of GHSIMR for taking more of such initiatives in future.
Prof. Bhagwan Jagwani, GHS-IMR welcomed the guests. Ms. Suprabha Dubey, Director Administration, R K Devi Memorial, introduced the participants to the program. The first batch participants hail from renowned Hospitals and clinics of the city such as KMC Pvt. Ltd., Regency Hospital, Sanjivani Hospital and others. Participants have to undergo 80 hours of coursework and 3 months of internship. During the internship, the participants will be experiencing various aspects of planning and control of Human Resources. The program coordinator Prof. Monika Srivastava gave the vote of thanks.
